Hello,
My name
is Rachel Walz. My daughter
Katelyn and I raise Jersey Woolies. We live in Baton Rouge Louisiana. When my daughter was 4 years old, she was given a bunny for Easter.
It ended up being a larger breed of rabbit, not good for small children. The
rabbit grew large and hyper. She couldn’t pick it up without it scratching
her. Therefore she was never able to hold it.
So we ended up giving him away. After that she kept on begging me
for another one. For the next three years she begged. So then I got on the internet and talked to other rabbit breeders.
The Jersey Wooly was highly recommended for children. A very small, docile,
calm, and loving breed. This was a bunny that we could cuddle with. So we started out with two Jersey Woolies for Easter, then we were instantly hooked. We now have over 35 Jersey Woolies. We have almost every color
available. Our Woolies carry bloodlines from some of the best well known breeders
from all around the U.S. We are definitely in love with our Jersey Woolies. Each and every one of ours is spoiled rotten.
We will always remain to be a small rabbitry. That way we know that each
and everyone gets held, petted, and cuddled with love. I (Rachel), my daughter
(Katelyn) and now my son (Jared) all travel and show Woolies. We get great pleasure
in participating as a family in these shows. But seeing my children compete and
receive awards and trophies is a reward in itself but the shear love and joy on their faces each and every time they win is
priceless. They are so proud to show them off.
We love to talk about them and meet new people who are interested in the breed.
I can’t wait to meet a new wooly enthusiast. So please email us
and meet a new friend.
